John Philo
John Philo elisted in the Navy in 1943. John went through Armed Gunner School after earning two semesters worth of college credits in the Navy. After graduating, he served as a gunner on a merchant marine ship. He arrived back in the states just in time to celebrate V-E Day at Time Square in New York.
